Matt Mondanile, dei Real Estate, si rifà vedere con il suo prolificissimo side project Ducktails. Un'ottima notizia dato che "The Flower Lane" è veramente un album gustoso. Le tracce che lo compongono sono ricche di interessanti referenze ma, aldilà di tutto, mostrano Mondanile in tutto il suo innegabile talento e nel suo approccio, tutt'altro che scontato, alla composizione. "Se "innovazione" è il tuo criterio cardine di giudizio alla
musica, questa potrebbe non essere la tua "best choice" ma, se sei alla ricerca di sound freschi e musica fatta con tutti i crismi, allora sì...sei nel posto giusto!
(ENG) Real Estate's member Matt Mondanile is again out playing with Ducktails, his very cool (and prolific) side project. And this is definitely good news since "The Flower Lane" is a very tasty album. The tracks are filled with interesting sonic references but, nevertheless, they show off Mondanile's undeniable talent and flavourful approach to music. If "innovation" is your criterium number one when it comes to music...this may be not your best choice but, if you're looking for fresh sounds and some tight music to listen to, then yes, you're in the right place.
