Un inno rock alla solitudine. Labirinti di marmo lucido che puzzano ancora di disinfettante e vomito. La voce suadentemente tentatrice di Angel Olsen ci tira a se con un filo bianco di seta qua e la macchiato di sangue. Un mantra etereo ed introspettivo, a tratti addirittura violento nella sua delicatezza. Angel Olsen, cantautrice e chitarrista del Missouri, ci delizia con questo secondo lavoro, intitolato Burn Your Fire For No Witness, uscito da pochi giorni su Jagjaguwar. L'album è un vortice emozionale e di eccellente musica cantautorale in cui si alternano atmosfere intime e cupe all'energia più irruenta del rock. Un luogo sonoro immaginifico in cui  Hope Sandoval dei Mazzy Star e Leonard Cohen pomiciano con passione al chiaro di luna.



Un album che meriterebbe molto più che un ascolto veloce e disattento.
